Facebook Notifications not working?

How to fix the “Facebook notifications not working” error?

Facebook is by far one of the most popular social networks on the planet. Since the network is offered on almost all platforms and has the main Android and iOS devices, it is available to a wide audience.

However, even a company as large as Facebook can sometimes see bugs and glitches on their platform. In this article, we look at some things you can do if your Facebook Notifications not working.

Reboot your device
Regardless of whether you’re on Android or iOS, restarting your phone or tablet can fix a bunch of seemingly random problems. So if you’re having trouble with notifications too, try restarting your device first.

Update the Facebook app
Another common reason applications stop working on their own is that the version you are running may be out of date. Head over to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and check for updates for the Facebook app. If there are any, please update the app and try again.

Connected devices for iOS
If you are using an Apple Watch with your iPhone, your Facebook notifications are most likely redirected to your watch. If you’re wearing a watch and your iPhone is locked, iOS, by default, redirects notifications to your watch. Of course, you can go ahead and change this behavior by changing your Apple Watch’s notification settings.

Check Do Not Disturb Mode on iOS
If your iOS device has DND mode enabled, iOS will automatically mute notifications from almost all apps on your phone. Here’s how you can check if DND mode is interfering with your Facebook notifications.

Head into the iOS settings and tap on Do Not Disturb.
Make sure the Do Not Disturb and Scheduled sliders are off.
Also, scroll down and make sure DND mode is set to manual while driving.

For android
Step 1 | Check your phone’s notification settings

Testing the phone’s native update settings is the first thing you can do to fix Facebook alerts not running on Android. Often times, you may find that alerts for specific applications are disabled. This could be due to a device error or other unidentified causes.

Go to Settings> Apps or App Notifications on your phone.
In the application list, locate Facebook and tap on your application notifications.
On the next screen, make sure the switch is already set to ‘On’ for notifications. If not, please enable it.

Step 2 | Make sure Facebook notifications are also turned on

Make sure not only are the built-in update settings for the apps enabled, but the native Facebook app is turned on as well. Most of the apps come with sound and notification settings. If the Facebook app push notification is disabled, this could be the reason for the problem. To ensure that native Facebook settings aren’t the reason Facebook notifications aren’t working, follow these steps.

Open the Facebook app on your Android smartphone and hit the three-bar button on your profile.
Scroll down to locate Notification Settings.
You will be provided with a list of activities that Facebook notifies the user about. Tap Activity on you> Toggle on Push settings if disabled.

Science and Technology

Few years back, you may have imagined about robots dominating the world; a miniature helicopter capturing photos; or living in Mars. Imagination goes well with creation. We’re on our way. For hundreds of years, science has been doing studies and giving explanations to occurrences that go beyond the human imagination and understanding. Thus, theories are created.
For hundreds of years, technology has been doing a great job in industrialising the world. You step in the land of the first world countries and see for yourself how lifestyle has been advancing. Yet, theory is a theory until it’s proven; technology remains limited. You might wake up one day and see that sci-fi turns into reality. However, what happens next when the clock ticks to ‘Midnight’ and doomsday is for the universe?
